Superior Wines was founded by Wine director Aldo Popolani in 2002.

Aldo has over 20 years experience in the wine industry. 

As a Supplier:

Aldo was national sales manager for one of the premier Tuscan estates for four years.

As an Importer:

Aldo has worked with the largest importers of fine Italian wines in different capacities.

Developed new markets

Introduced new brands to distributors

Trained and finely tuned many distributor sales forces

As a Distributor:

Currently Superior Wines sells over 100 brands in the New Jersey and New York markets.

Provides the highest standards in customer service and has a knowledgeable sales force.

As Director of National Accounts:

Aldo has extensive experience in dealing with supermarket, grocery and warehouse chains,

including: Publix, Albertsons, Safeway, Whole Foods, Cost Plus, Sam's Club, and Costco.

Wine Knowledge:

Aldo has 20 years in the fine wine industry including tasting thousands of wines and visiting hundreds of wineries.

Established Relationships with Wineries:

Superior Wines can boast long term relationships (contracts, price stability, etc.) with our partner wineries in Italy.

Top notch selection of wines suitable for the US market

Established Relationships with Distributors:

As an importer, Superior Wines is currently serving one of the largest distributors in the country, the Charmer Sunbelt Group.

Superior Wines provides distributors with timely deliveries on direct imports.

Superior Wines assists distributor sales forces with all necessary points of sale.

Our staff regularly attends distributor sales meetings and provides comprehensive training when introducing new wines to the distributor sales force.


Brand Builders:

We regularly introduce new brands to our customer base, generating increased demand for our wines.

Superior Wines creates a series of events, including an occasional appearance by our winemakers, designed to enhance consumer awareness of all our brands.
